Open Gym training

At Rouda, you can train independently during Open Gym hours, i.e., during the gym's opening hours. In addition, for a fee of €8/month, you can purchase an access card/access rights, which allows you to train between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. every day. During Open Gym hours, independent training takes place in the Open Gym area of Routa (in the weightlifting area, between the running track and the wall) so that guided classes are not disturbed.

Do I need to retake the On Ramp course if I have not trained for several years?

You don't need to retake the On Ramp course, even if it's been a while since you completed it and you've had a long break from training.

Remember to start training after a break by listening to your body and scaling your workouts as needed. If you feel nervous about jumping straight into a WOD, we recommend starting with our Routa Basics classes. These are lighter CrossFit basic workouts that involve a slightly lower intensity.

Can I take my child with me?

Children are not allowed in the training areas during guided classes (with the exception of BabyWOD and MPF+Kids). This disturbs those training in the classes and poses a safety risk to both children and athletes. If a child comes to the gym during training hours, the Routa lounge area is the right place for them. Every child is the responsibility of their parent.

For whom is the Family Open Gym intended?

Family Open Gym is held every Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. During this time, you can come to the gym to do independent training, and you can bring family members, including children, with you. Training takes place in the large/CrossFit area of the gym. Only one participant needs to be a member of Routa and register for the class. This applies only to family members, not friends, for example.

Cleaning

Please note that Routa is cleaned on Thursdays from approximately 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. The independent training/weightlifting area is closed on Thursdays from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. during cleaning. The larger area is available for use, but please make room for cleaning and train accordingly.

Can I come for a free trial session at Routa? (For those who have previous experience of CrossFit.)

If you are new to the city and already have experience with CrossFit training, you are welcome to come for free trial and see if we could be your new home box!

Can I bring a friend with me?

Friends are welcome to come and try CrossFit on selected days, such as Valentine's Day, but otherwise participation in CrossFit classes requires completion of the On Ramp course. However, you are always welcome to come and check out the atmosphere and watch the classes!
If you are new to weightlifting, you can try it out on Mondays and Fridays.

Student memberships and student card

Student memberships require a valid student ID card. A photo of the card is requested when purchasing a student membership and will be checked annually.

How can I change my membership?

If you want to change your contract (membership) to another one, please contact us directly! Do not purchase a new membership from the online store, as this will result in two overlapping contracts. All changes related to the membership agreement (changing or pausing your membership) must be reported to laskutus@crossfitrouta.fi.

Can I film my own workouts and post them on social media?

If you film your own workouts at the gym, please be considerate of other customers. If you post videos or photos of your workouts on social media, remember to ask permission from the people in the background or blur their faces.
